Revision Control is a plugin for WordPress which gives the user more control over the revision functionality.
If you have ever noticed, one of the powerful features of WordPress is the auto-save and keep copies of edited content that you create called revisions.
The problem for me is that WordPress saves unlimited revisions of each post you create in the database, which over the time can consume unnecessary space. WordPress doesn’t come with an easy way to enable/disable or set a limit on the number of revisions that you would like to keep, that’s when Revision Control plugin comes in handy.
With this plugin you can set a site-global setting for your pages and posts to enable, disable or limit the number of revisions that you want WordPress to keep for page/post. You can also change this setting on a per-page/post basis from the Revisions Meta box.
Additionally Revision Control allows to delete specific revisions via the Revisions post meta box.
