WordPress 3.3 beta 2 has been released and ready for download. Of course, this is not a release that you can install in your live website, but you can still test in a lab environment and get a sneak peek of what is coming. This is also a great opportunity for developers to test their plugins and themes and make sure that they are compatible with version 3.3 by the time is release.
As you may know by now, WordPress 3.3 adds a new media uploader, and improved admin bar, and fancy fly-out menus in the Dashboard — check our previous post to learn more.
Here are the changes for beta 2 since beta 1:
- Updated the Blue theme
- Fixed IE7 and RTL support
- Improved contextual help styling
- Tweaked the admin bar a little more
- Improved fly-out menu styling and fixed several glitches
- Landed the dashboard Welcome box for new installs
- Finished the Pointers implementation
- Fixed a bunch of bugs
